John Stossel interviewing gay soldiers on ABC.
Edited on Fri Apr-15-05 09:57 PM by Swede
These gay soldiers WANT to go to Iraq.

Stossel asked some General "The British army allows gays, most NATO countries do too,and both Britain and Australia are in Iraq."
He answers "The American military is different."

1. Let's send effing Stossel to Iraq. Without body armour.
That would be fun. I'd enjoy that.

3. Yes he is
They're desperate for troops and need to get the sheeple ready to accept openly gay troops. Also, you can't have a draft with the don't ask don't tell policy. It would be too easy to get out of the military that way.

4. Oh God!
The American military is different.

No, General! What is different with the American military is the way you want the world to view it. You want it to look like the toughest bunch of rough-necks the world has ever seen, so you simply can't have a bunch of "fairies" on the front lines.

And that is exactly what their bigotry towards gays in the military boils down to. Yes they say their soldiers are scared of having a gay soldier come on to them, which is utter nonsense. The truth is, they want their military to look tough. Obviously they haven't visited the Castro district in San Francisco and had a good look at some of the gay guys and gals there.

5. yes, the rough-necks are the closet fairies. and they want to keep it that
way. sometimes I wonder if these guys are so closeted because they want the best of both worlds, they want the domestic servant jingo-bot wife, the 2.5 spawn, and the hot man sex on the down low. They want it all and think coming out will break their bargain in half, which it probably will.
