A progressive nation

While Iran moves forward the radicals in this nation try to pull us back:

Granted this law is offensive to my sense of what is just; for example the provision that the fetus must be determined to be: "mentally or physically handicapped".

But that attitude toward those they consider mentally or physically handicapped, must already exist in their culture if it found it's way into a bill in that form. So in a way this is a step (small and flawed as it is) forward. Meanwhile we have people in control of our government who want to take steps backward.


Just struck my sense of irony enough to want to post it.
