The Rudolph Plea

Although I am opposed to the death penalty and have no problem with a plea agreement with Eric Rudolph to avoid the death penalty in exchange for a plea, I am willing to bet that the normally bloodthirsty right-wing, eager to send children and the mentally disabled to the chair, will be noticeably silent about the government's choice in this case.

3. I guess I shouldn't be surprised

with their "We are people that want to follow principle, unless that principle gets in the way of what we want" position on everything, but all that rationalizing must get tedious.

that they got their panties in a bunch about Michael Schiavo but, not a word about the Hammer allowing his father to be removed from life support.

Damn activist judges, accepting pleas like this?
