WTF!!!!
I live in Central Connecticut and usually can receive WLIB out of NYC. Well yesturday I tuned in to the station AM1190 and who do I hear??? Sean Hannity! They evidently have some kind of overridding
method of blotting out OUR station. What's next. Anyone else hear this anomoly?

3. Yes
I called the station first thing. They said it would be looked into.

2. Don't know if they can overide but sometime this happens
to me. My AAR station is very weak and sandwiched in between ESPN and another that airs Rush Limbaugh. I often work in the garden with my Walkman on while listening to Randi. As I turn my head I will sometimes pick up the end of a Rush statement started by Randi or a sports score. The split sentences are sometimes very funny.

4. Around here NPR occasionally used to get blasted out by
religious broadcasting. Seriously, it can make a person paranoid!

But the station explained that if a repeater is down then the signal was so weak that another took it over. *sorry, don't know the correct jargon* I didn't believe it at the time, but sure enough, they fixed the problem and now the NPR station comes in consistently.

Sadly, it's not as good as it used to be, though.

5. Same thing happened to me the other day. I am in Hartford. It seems
to be weather dependent. I get AAR best from Windsor. I listen on my way home from work and get good reception down 91S to about Exit 36. In my driveway (we live at the bottom of hill, I get the moran station).
