Freep family "vacations" at Minutemen border patrols

Chris, a 45-year-old engineer from Fountain Valley, Calif., had tied a white handkerchief onto his glasses to deflect the stinging sand. He brought his wife, twin daughters and 15-year-old son here for spring break.

"The way we have been portrayed as a bunch of yahoos and rednecks, no wonder people want to kill us," he said, declining to give his full name. "I came with my family because I thought it would be great for them to see the border situation up close."

His son Alex, retreating inside his hooded sweatshirt to escape the driving sand, nodded weakly.

Maybe next year the kids will get a more "reality-based" vacation.

They had projected 1,000 vigilantes and only 200 showed up. The media sent roughly just as many people as they did.

3. Just like all crazies
As in the Terri S case, take their kids on Spring Break to some place like this. And in the Terri S case, the kids had to know they were only 1 1/2 from WDW.

7. gee what fun Dad
I coulda been down in padre with my friends looking at babes in bikinis and you make me spend my spring break on some whacko loony tunes mission to save our borders from meskin terra-ists carrying their babies and everything they own on their back?

I can't wait until next year when we go meet up with Reverend Phelps and the Militia for spring break in El Paso, because Gawd Hates Mexican Fags too.

:sarcasm:

I'm from Southern Arizona and I find this all a little... absurd. But then, this IS the state that brought you Ev Mecham and Fife Symington (who has been making noises about running AGAIN - aaack)
