1. As a lapsed VFW member I am amazed.
Even astounded. I'll have to get my dad to sent me his copy.

3. Surprising or not?
The majority of VFW members are now from the Korea and Vietnam era I think, not the WWII group that used to dominate. They therefore would be more open to distinguish the difference. It's the Neo-cons & Fundies we have to worry about. They, like "*", don't do "nuance." They even go so far as to say that being against "*" being against the troops. But they, unlike the VFW, & like "*" have never been to war.

5. Like that pic, kliljedahl !
Yeah, problem for all the neo-cons, is that hardly any of them served and none of them understand the general shafting veterans are getting from this administration. Guess that can't freep this poll.

I support the troops: impeach and imprison the war mongers and profiteers....then get our sons/daughters, mothers/fathers, aunts/uncles, neices/nephews the hell out of this unjust and immoral occupation.

Was using the Jerry one DU gives you. Finally donated so I could use my own. & wanted to go into the GD group although not much seems to be going on there. Posted a question & got no responses. Is it always that dead (pun intended) in there?

6. Wow! That Editor KOLB Is Bending over Backwards
Before the election, he ran a couple of paragraphs on the candidates. When he got to JK, KOLB shat on him, minimizing his record, dismissing a couple of the Purple Hearts as "slight wounds." I called and told him there was a wingnut slant. He was furious and danged me to heck to show him EXAMPLES from the LAST UMPTEEN issues where there was wingnut bias. I said I was calling regarding PAGE 8 of that issue. He repeated his demand then put me on "silent" disconnect while I attempted to talk. He had hung up while I did my spiel.

I then called the D.C. office of the VFW and talked to the assistant of the big kahuna, who is not directly involved with the magazine. She listened to my gripes, in which I included how vets like Medal of Honor holders use their uniforms and decorations in partisan (wingnut) activities). She finally let out a sigh and said she got what I was talking about and would pass it on to the kahuna.

8. Not Mine. I've Got a Plastic Bin-ful That I've Sent to the Cable Yakkers
dating back to the FAKE impeachment. I guess numbers count and if we joined the pre-fab letter-organizations we might get more attention.
