Christiane Amanpour asking tough questions on CNN right now
of a priest outside St. Peters - on role of women and "disenfranchisement" (her word) of people who have left the RCC over some of the Pope's conservative stances on reproduction and women and gays.

I'm a Catholic, and I mourn the Pope, but the priest's answers sound, frankly, lame ("I can't have babies," etc.). She's not being mean, but she's asking some hard questions for this kind of coverage. I think it's really interesting that these questions are being raised on CNN. Is anyone else watching this? Could this be a good sign for the MSM, or am I just being naive?

1. Doubt that this is a sign
Christiane has never caved is all. I think that they know she can't be replaced.

3. Me too
She never backs down for anyone. I guess I'm just surprised - it's been so long since I've heard anyone question somebody like that on cable news.

4. Christiane is wonderful always, and here especially...
...and how old is that priest anyway? He looked to be about 15! Sounded about that age, too, "green" as could be.

which we don't get to see which is more news, less propaganda. We are their propaganda audience.

Go, Christiane! Stay focused as you always are.

8. CNN
Judging by the canned and evasive answers of the American priest she was interviewing, I'd say he has a future in MSM if he ever decides to quit the priesthood.
