If he recovers (which I pray he does) he will come back and continue to be an asshole, yes. They might do this to us if we were in that position, yes. It's "given" that you don't advocate taking pleasure in the death of persons, no matter how vile, and given, say that you don't advocate murder.

That's completely compatible with not taking "pro-life" stances on various issues.

I resent the continued implication by many on this board and in the "real world" that people with "pro-choice" or "pro-autonomy" type positions on say abortion, assisted suicide etc. are somehow less respectful of life IN VIRTUE of their non-"pro-life" positions.
