A real WTF moment just on the Today Show (W's niece-UN food)
W's niece Laura Bush (she's puuuurrrty) was just on the Today Show as I was leaving the house. She is a spokesperson/volunteer with the UN Hunger program or UN Food Program and she has just gotten back from touring the tsunami areas as well as other pockets of starvation.

I didn't see the whole thing (video link will probably be up later) but this is the :wtf: moment of the week-and there have been some doosies

Lauer:The statistics are amazing, every 5 seconds a child dies of starvation or malnuritiment.

Laura Bush: That's correct

HEY LAUER did you tie that back into the lead story of the day/week and the EXCLUSIVE interview with Schiavo's father and sister????

:wtf:

There are two links to the UN Food program on the Today Show site

2. Is this Neil's daughter, the model?
She is attractive. And a UN Hunger Program volunteer?

Pretty and has a heart...she can't be a real Bush. Must have been a changeling or kidnapping victim as a newborn.

3. Those are mostly Black children, silly..................
in other countries where there isn't even any MTV! And I bet they're not CHRISTIANS either. THAT'S why they're starving, god wants it that way until they start groveling at his feet.

You're just SO SILLY, underpants. Like this has ANY connection to a White, Christian female with irreperable brain damage in the United States!

Stop being so SILLY!

plain janes did nothing to earn you ignoring them.

seems pretty unjust to me.

Let the freepers fawn over unearned qualities like beauty, and inherited wealth.

I treat plain janes just as well as ravishing beauties. It can be done. It is up to us guys to end this demand that girls try to be pretty.
That demand puts big stress on most girls. And it is our fault, guys.

Look for the rare girl with goodness inside. So rare in girls and guys both. You will never find it if you start by narrowing the pool to only the pretty. A kindhearted, warm, helpful girl will be a big asset in your life. A shallow beauty will be a drag.

after all they're only men. LOL They've been raised, and are expected to be visual beasties. But the intelligent one's appreciate intelligence and good character in women.

I also have to admit to you men, although I'm heterosexual, often there's nothing much to "write home" about your looks - especially the typical male physique. IMO, you've got way too much hair in the wrong places. <snicker>

/vanity off <teasing!!!>

On Edit: Excuse me, you are a man. Well, IMO the women in your life are truly blessed :-).

8. Please forgive me ...
but I know exactly how manly male freepers would respond:

Uh give me 2-3 hours with a "shallow beauty" and I'll get back to you.

<eg> Just nipping the freepers FUN in DA bud. ;)

9. Well, she IS a fashion model...
her job is to be pretty. The fact that the OP comments on it doesn't mean he/she doesn't value other assets in people.

Hunger is the #1 killer in the world. More than AIDS, Malaria, and _____ combined.

25,000 deaths a day

6:16 TOAL in length (1:00 in for the "The statistics are amazing..." part)

At the end Lauer ties this in to her "Family's record of public service"
