The Media has gone absolutely nuts
They are giving proven liars and hatefilled right wing wackos full voice. They are allowing lies about Michael Schiavo pass without challenge. I am at a loss for words. I hope every Republican watching this travesty wakes up and helps us vote these nutcases out of office!!! We are in peril !!!

1. Nothing you can do except let these American Taliban flame out ...
... and hope that the rest of America is watching.

5. Ant notice how the nut cases are always on with a Shiavo family member.
It's disgusting. The crazy nurse they quote or show clips of claimed she fed Terry S milk shakes and cookies. How could any media outlet carry her. They are pigs and liars. There aren't many of the sane portion of the country watching more than a few minutes. Most of their audience is Republican. Your hope will be fulfilled since these are the people who need to see what clowns the CM (corporate media) are.

8. American Taliban is right...the Radical Clerics think they rule in this
country just as much as they'd like to in Iraq or Afghanistan, only here it's those who call themselves "Christian" rather than "Muslim" or "Islamic."
No difference. Just as scary. Worse, really, since Falwell, Robertson, Dobson, et al are HERE....

3. I haven't watched much on tv
but whenever I pass by a channel or give it a try to see what is happening the lies are uncredible. They need to be sued big time for allowing such unfounded, unverified information on the air in the name of right wing 'balance'.

4. I just called Faux about ten minutes ago and asked why Hannity, O'Lie
lley and Marth McCallum (one of the "news" anchors) were still employed. If lack of fact-checking was enough to get Rather et al booted at CBS, isn't lack of fact-checking, outright lies, and whoring for the Reich Wing enough to get these four, at the very least, trounced out on their kiesters?
*sigh* we know THAT will never happen, since Faux is Fairly Unbalanced, or Rarely Balanced, or whatever...
Go on, give them a call, it'll make you feel better. Call 'em all! E-mail 'em too! There's a great link to all contact info at the top of the Media Forum page!
Here's Faux toll free:

9. Good point!
If fact-checking was enough to get Dan Rather fired, then surely these loonies should go...if Fox wants to be considered "news."

11. Dan Was Not One Of Them
THEY, meaning the MSM, were the ones responsible for tossing Dan out on his A**! But they would never go against one of their own. I don't see Bill O'Reilly suffering. But I'm certainly not going to waste my time watching some lame brains spout lies on H&C, or whatever the hell they're calling it this week.

6. DON'T WATCH THE NEWS OR TALK SHOWS!!!
Why even bother wasting your time when you know exactly what you're going to get? Other than Keith O., and especially with Dan gone, is there any reason to watch MSM news programming at all?

7. This really reminds me of the Swift Boat Liars
and how they were allowed to lie and lie and lie on the air and were never called on it.

10. cspan only
i cant watch the MSM. The irony of watching them all rile against the sclm - the entire cable news media riling against the "liberal media" - was too much.

13. CSPAN Is More Subtle
I think while CSPAN is less filtered, and more straightforward perhaps, they're still biased. After all, they're in Washington, and Washington is controlled by 1 party, much like most of the media.

14. Not nuts. Just doing all they have left
The media has been stripped of any real ability to do reporting by its corporate masters. In simple steps to improve the profit margin the institutions that once brought down president Nixon are mere shadows of their former self. Only able to read the talking points handed to them by interested parties they are dependent on political groups and think tanks to form their presentations.

Now that something is erupting before their eyes they can only stand back and continue to desperately read the script handed to them by a wildly gesticulating spokesman. Completely disconnected from the people they can only represent the view they are being fed. Like a crack addict they desperately continue to try to please their pusher.

This event will pass. People will be left with a bad taste in their mouth. The handlers will find their composure once again and the flow of propoganda will return to its normal flow. The only question is will We The People remember this taste in our collective mouth or will we develop amnesia as usual and simply let their siren song overwhelm our self interest and wind up dashed against the reefs they are guiding our nation towards.

15. The Poodle Press will keep it up until the number of us who object and
MAKE OURSELVES HEARD is equal to or greater than (or percieved to be) the number of wingnuts who hound from the other side. Even though the PP is corporate owned, they will go where they think the $$$ will go. Same with the politicians going where they think the votes are, so we in the silent majority can be silent no longer. Make it a habit EVERY DAY to email or call or snail mail at least YOUR reps on at least ONE issue, and same with the media outlets. ONE A DAY, EVERY DAY.
We can all do that, can't we?? And educate and ask those around us to do the same...

16. They don't have the resources to do real news any longer
Even if we did convince them that they are out of touch they can only just continue to report what they are handed by spokespeople for the various think tanks and political groups that form their source material.
