Isn't Afghanistan the "Message" and Iraq Only the Echo???
You know, this administration has been spewing for a year about how Iraq will be a message and beacon to the Arab world as it shines as a democratic, prosperous nation. Well, wasn't the US message sent, and sent loud and clear, in Afghanistan?? We only control Kabul and about 30 miles around it while the rest is being retaken by war lords and the Taliban boy scouts.

Therefore, wasn't the message that was sent to the Arabs one that said: we blow things up but we are totally clueless and powerless to put things back together. We cannot fight against terrorists nor civilians bent on expelling us. We can be driven out if you just bide your time and run a guerilla war against us.??? We can kick ass in war but we cannot handle peace. Lay down your arms fast in war and then come back to fight us.

Yep, that's the message we sent to the entire Arab world and any other place that cared to listen. They learned the lesson well, and it is what they are doing to us in Iraq and will continue to do to us. The only morons who didn't the get message was this administration, apparently.
