Ok does anyone here think Mike Malloy is funny?

He seems to think he is. Cackling after suggesting that if we raise gas prices it would be good because once the poor couldn't afford to drive they would start grabbing the rich out of their SUVs and eating them.

However, I am not sure if this is funny. Lets call it black humour perhaps....

Yeah, I think he's funny. I think he was being sarcastic about the poor "eating the rich" His "cackling" is usually done in pure DISGUST of those RW wacko nutjobs. I don't think he's REALLY laughing, laughing. He's sarcatically laughing/cackling. I think Black/dark humor fits.

It is how the repukes make ME feel....DARK and full of pure hatred for them. :grr:

...I have only just begun listening to Mike again, and I tell ya, he still has it. Mike is the kind of guy who wears his emotions on his sleeve.

I can remember before Mike went off the air the other year, there was plenty of time he had me in absolute stitches.

He's not just making ha-ha's. If you have only heard a smattering of Malloy, go to http://www.whiterosesociety.org and download the five shows from the week before last (last week was reruns) and, when you have time, listen to just the first hour of each (or more). If you listen, I think you'll find that he often really gets too the very core of things, and you'll find yourself learning and laughing and crying and enraged all at once. Maybe not, but give it a shot if you want to understand why so many admire what he does and why we regard him not just as a truthteller but as a voice that speaks our heart.

14. Mike is an all round Talk Show Host

There is none better than Mike Malloy.

He is a true professional and is supported by Kathy and others who make his show, every day he is on, absolutely superb.

He is sad, happy, moving, funny, cynical, aggressive, etc. as the situation demands.

I have heard more people in tears on his show than on any other. I have never heard a freeper win an argument against Mike on any subject. He demolishes them.

He raised my hope in America when I gave up on your country. He taught me that there was another side to the coin than the criminals presently in charge of your country. What he says applies to everyone who is listening to him all over the world.

And above all he is not egoistic like Al Franken, Randi Rhodes. He does not ever blow his own trumpet. He does not ever say he has the remedies to problems. He never claims that his show is the answer to the problems facing America.

The most marvellous piece by him is the one about FEAR which you can listen to from the whiterosesociety.org archives. But there are many other great pieces from his show, too many to list here.

There is none better than Mike Malloy.

Hey, a country that does not take care of it's poor and the rich who look down on everyone and everything that is not like them?

I think Mike is angry and is saying "what's it gonna take to address this growing problem?"

If you are rich, I am sorry, but Mike has a great point, IMO.

I absolutely adore Mike Malloy. He is funny, but it's also a reaction to the outrage around us. Listening to him is cathartic because he expresses what so many of us feel inside.
