C-SPAN blocks cell phones?
Is there a cell phone block on the C-SPAN viewer reaction lines? At best it will ring twice before the message that my call cannot be completed at this time. I do not have a land line, am I barred from giving my point of view?

1. I had this problem with the DEMOCRATS line once.
The REPUBLICAN line worked fine.

I called C-SPAN and complained about it.

THIS IS DELIBERATE, IMHO.

3. I figured that was the case, so I've been calling both.
Same situation. It could just be due to high call volume. I would be interested to hear from someone who got through using a mobile phone.

2. one thing I know is that they get alot more calls from dems.

I've seen Brian practically beg for calls from repukes while there would be four lines full of calls from dems.

edit: what bothers me about this is that they go 50/50 on the calls...if the proportion of people calling isn't 50/50, then why not make it representative of the actual #'s, like take 70% on air comments from dems and 30% from the nimrods. If it isn't an equal # then it is biased for them to make it appear that way.

5. I have never been able to get through, calling on a regular phone,

trying all three lines. 99% of the time I get a busy signal, 1% I'll get a ringing phone which is never answered and ultimately cuts off.

My husband tried to call in the other day with the same results and while he was repeatedly redialing, a woman called in and the first thing she said was that she kind of hated to use her monthly call on this issue, but. . . And you often hear people who are monthly callers -- how the hell do they get through???

I propose that everyone reading this who's NEVER been able to get through to C-SPAN, not even to talk to a screener, e-mail them tonight and ask them HOW do we get through?

7. There are a few cspan callers that constantly get thru every month.
Some Dems and some Reps. I'm wondering what their trick is?

8. I think that explains it
I think that's the answer to it. They have people who call all the time and if they see that caller they probably let them on first. Do they screen people?

9. no, it's that the landline switch serving their incoming lines that is...
jammed. Also ring signals are not synchronized which is why it rings on your end even if it isn't ringing on theirs.
