This is disgusting what they are doing...* budget slices programs designed to help those unable to help themselves.

This show is political grandstanding. If Terri is allowed health care, So am I, and my family.

5. From What I Understand
Terri's husband filed a suit against one of the hospitals stating that she hadn't received proper care when she she was first admitted to the hospital. The settlement was to used for her rehabilitation and care. But I am not 100% positive, it has been awhile since I have heard anything about it. Hope that helps. :)

6. Because the doctors treating her failed to recognize and
diagnose her bulimia. Terri had money settled on her, which a court-appointed person kept track of, and then Michael had loss of consortium money settled on him.

Consortium = The right of one spouse to the company, affection, and assistance of and to sexual relations with the other; also The right of a parent or child to the company, affection, and assistance of the other (suing for loss of consortium)

2. You don't qualify
You must be brain dead and must refuse health care so that it can be imposed upon you. Otherwise the GOP health care plans do not apply to you. Sorry.

But it doesn't mean that their vote isn't cast by zealots.:)
I bet she tells them how she meant to vote.

8. I won't disagree with you
I have a son who may have a future. He has autism and can't do many things, including tying his shoes, but if you put a glass of water and a turkey sandwich in front of him, he knows what to do. Even in restraints, he could at least ask you to feed him. In certain situations, he can be quite productive. When his class goes to supervised jobs in restaurants, he'll stand and count out cheese sticks and other foods, and do it happlily, for hours.

God forbid, though, his father and I should die without a huge trust fund, or he'll be one of those people you step over on your way to the "I love Terri rallys." He'll be the one who's muttering to himself as he lies there talking about Skittles other food.

10. At the risk of sounding patronizing
Your son and others like him are the ones that we should rally around to make sure that their basic needs are met and that they are kept safe.
Of course he gets hungry because he has intact brain function that signals his hunger.
I don't know how to explain any better than I have tried.
Good luck with your son.

11. missdiagnosis
Well because I had indigestion but heart disease is prevelent in family my new dr. demanded that I go immediatly to hospital for ICU and heart tests and monitoring first! Now I won't sue but I'm not sure I will pay any more bills. I think this regime just decided I could go on living with any needed medical care and they (Repubs) will gladly accept paying all expenses. OK that will be fine but they can't pass it off if they are removed from power. They can just take up a big collection from all who support them to boost medicare to 100%!

15. Everyone who has medical needs and bills should write
their Congressperson and DEMAND equal treatment.

No more of this selective bullshit.

Everyone should have a right to health care, whether it's at taxpapyer expense or not.
