History of the voice vote?
Why can the Senate pass bills by voice vote (secret vote?)

Can the House do it, too?

1. I've been wondering the same thing.
Our Rep won't tell constitutents who call his office how he votes.

That should be against the law.

How to . . . find out about congressional voting

All voting in Congress is a matter of public record. However, not all floor votes are roll call votes. There are voice votes (“aye” or “no”) and division or standing votes (where the presiding officer counts Members), and these types of votes do not indicate by name how a Member voted.
