Are oil companies conspiring to keep gas prices high to get vote
through congress to open ANWAR? Sounds just like something they
would do. Yep, dirty sleazy bastards!

2. I'd be more likely to think ...
... that the Bankruptcy Bill was put into place by the credit card companies (and approved by members of both parties) because they know for a fact a financial collapse is imminent.

3. Good Guess
But ANWR would not be able to produce anything for at least 2 years...and even then, ANWR would not produce enough to make a significant dent in oil prices, there's not enough supply that would come from it, in spite of what they want us to believe.

Dirty sleazy bastards know goddam well that oil is running out, their heyday is coming to an end, and they wanna make all the money that they can, as fast as they can...so they can diversify into other energy sources for the future. Watch. Before long, you will begin to see unusual mergers and manoevers in the markets with regards to mergers and acquisitions...they won't seem to make any sense on the surface.

Remember when RJR bought Nabisco? Didn't seem to go together, did they? But RJR was reading the tea laeves, and knew the end was coming for big tobacco, so they diversified while they still could. Watch the bastards at big oil do the same thing now.

Remember who said it first!

7. I think so, as part of the whole fear thing they seem to be on.
After all, Bush does have a lot of influence and it is in the fuel companies interest to back Bush. They all still play golf and hang out punchin' cows together you know.

Is punchin' cows animal abuse?????

8. I thought there'd be a huge refinery accident (They seem to occur ...
... frequently) just before the ANWR debates.

For details, see the California power crisis.
