1. In the first few minutes I flipped it on...Howard Dean made two statements

And I agreed with both...and felt as though I had wanted to ask a true neo-con the same question.

Making Perle look like a yutz. We are truly blessed to have him as our Chair.

4. My first reaction to the way Dean handled Perle was

"Oh, the humanity! Will someone think of the children?"

2. I've seen it twice and just love it when Dean sticks it to Perle.

He does it twice, once when the tells Perle outright that we will no longer let the RNC frame the debate and a second time when the question of defense came up. Perle looked so condescending in reaction to Dean's comments.

From all the spin coming from the Right I think Dr Dean has 'em a bit off balance.

6. Dean did exactly that in a verbal sense. Reframe the debate!

Reframe exactly what "Defense" is. It shouldn't be about star wars part Deaux, it shouldn't be about having two "next generation" fighters in the works. It should be about DEFENDING AMERICA, not feeding the military industrial complex.

Defense is about meaningful intelligence, it's about friendly alliances that enhance our network of information, it's about a boots-on-the-ground approach it's about looking into the future to see what threats are emerging and reacting both diplomatically and militarily.

Defense is not simply more Pentagon spending.

Rove said never attack the weakness, attack the strength. Run on your strength and take theirs away from them.
