on Negroponte. He sailed through his previous Senate hearings, I do believe.

4. death squads angle

While this installment focuses on running down the drug trafficking, I was reminded that there are now two Bu$h appointees who were involved with death squads.

I read in Bush Women/Laura Flanders that during Rice's tenure on the Chevron board, Chevron armed the militia who murdered striking oil workers in Nigeria. Every six months, families of the oil workers would formally petition the board to stop arming the militia and they were simply ignored.

11. i really don't drive much

i work from home, or my studio 5 miles away. the hubby and the big kid take public trans every day, the little guys walk to school.
we take one big trip a year, and 5-6 of us go in that truck.
i am not ashamed.

12. A caller to Erin Hart

(filling in for Mike Webb on 710AM in Seattle) was a special forces type in Honduras under Necroponte and described how his sense of purpose in guarding the transport of "medical supplies to win the hearts and minds" was fractured when he found out the containers were filled with drugs.
