I saw Dennis Miller say "Why don't we teach a few of the major religions in school"? Someone had to tell him it is against the constitution. He is without a doubt a complete dunce. I wish McEnroe was still on at least he is smart and had really good music on.

It's when one religion is PROMOTED over another that is unconstitutional.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with discussing Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, Hindu, Christianity, etc. in the context of a World Cultures class, for instance. In fact, any discussion of world cultures WITHOUT examining religious influence would be a complete waste of time.

"a few of the major religions". And "teach" is not the same as "study."

Besides, some of the material in any survey course would drive the fundamentalists nuts. They believe what they believe because it's in the Bible. No discussion.

Some years ago at work, one of our Catholic employees asked a Muslim about some details of their religion. They began a civilized, respectful discussion, comparing & contrasting various elements of their respective faiths. A third guy chimed in--"But that's all wrong!"

23. A few months back, a local radio interviewer asked Dennis...

if he was a registered Republican. He indicated that he was an independent.

The interviewer followed up by asking Dennis how he felt about being left out of the loop on partisan primaries. Dennis didn't understand the question.

In other words, apparently, Dennis Miller has never even voted.
