Gannon and evidence of the Right bloggers' moral hypocrisy
In the aftermath of even more embarrassing revelations in the 'Jeff Gannon' scandal, I'm seeing the bloggers of the Right climbing aboard their incredulous, moral high horses (again) and condemning the Left not only for the supposed personal attack on the Talon News Impostor, but making slanderous allegations about WH Spokesman Scott McClellan.

So, I thought it would be helpful to supply the DU with an example of one of their most popular bloggers (Wizbang!), engaging in just such an attack against the Dems and James McGreevey. Feel free to pass it on, or lemme know if it disappears!

1. Well...
don't you know that the Republicans are the chosen ones of God? Therefore if they're outed as gay, it must be the evil liberal media digging up dirt. Republicans can never do any wrong, it's just not in their nature. Remember it's always the liberal media's fault. :eyes:

3. They are also repeating the "I thought liberals were tolerant?"
propaganda technique: "ad hominem tu quoque."

What they don't notice is that their question and argument is infering that character assasination is okay when they do it, and that they do so regularly. You could complete the mantra "I thought liberals were tolerant," with the unspoken or unwritten thought, "unlike us?"
