that on tomorrows show, they will have the "inspiring story of an amputee returning to his unit in Iraq". I kid you not! How is this inspiring? I could see if they said returning to his civilian job, or family, but back to combat, after his sacrifice already! WTF!

1. As inspiring as Bush Congratulating the woman for holding 3 jobs
and declaring it "uniquely American."

We live in Bizarro world.

2. One difference:
I can see a soldier volunteering for this, and if he passes the bureaucratic stupidity that is a PT test, I could actually see the inspiration there. What true-blue hoo-ah officer or enlisted troop wouldn't respect his choice? I would.

I'd respect it even more if I believed in the war he was fighting, of course.

7. It was a town hall meeting.... The Tonight Show and many others had quite
a bit of fun with it.

Bush was talking to a woman and upon hearing that she was working three jobs, he tried to make it sound like it was a great thing. The "Uniquely American" is a verbatim quote.

The man's an idiot.

5. If you lost a limb in this war I would think
it might be possible that you would so much need to think your sacrifice was for a just cause .......you might just volunteer to return. I have listened to some of these parents who have lost children in Iraq and it tears your heart out as they struggle to put a positive spin on what is obviously an insane war of oil and politics. How GW can sleep at night is beyond me.

8. that's why I love war so much
so many inspiring stories. So many Americans helping so many smiling Iraqis, so many happy reunions when the troops come home, so many inspiring amputees going back to fight another day.
