In defense of Jeff Gannon, Pimp Journalist
I now some DUers were offended when he said he'd try for #1 conservative idiot when he came in second, but on the other hand it was a sportsmanlike response with some humor wasn't it?

The second point is that any one of us would jump at the chance to infiltrate the WH press room and ask agenda driven questions

The third point is that blaming this hack-pimp TAKES THE RESPONSIBILITY OFF OF IDIOT SON who shouldn't have given him press creds.

1. It's not about Gannon, although seeing him get his comeuppance is nice,
it's about finding out WHO gave him access to the Whitehouse, why he was given preferential treatment over legitimate journalists, what involvement he had in the Plame matter, etc.

It's not him personally, it's the people who gave him the ability to do it.

2. I'm with you. Prostitutes are victims.
I think that we should be more concerned about how he got White House press credentials.

3. "sportsmanlike response with some humor"?
No, it wasn't. It was a typical cowboy "you libruls can kiss my corn-fed ass" response.

7. I agree, good sportsmanship is not arrogance and rudeness
Gannon is a scumbag and I hope he gets his. He is PROFITTING off of propaganda. I hope he goes DOWN in flames!

Taking him down and exposing him puts us one step closer to exposing his boss man (ie Rove).

Jeff Gannon
1) He wasn't being sportmanlike, he was trying to be funny--and failing, the way conservatives often do.

2)This guy most likely didn't "infiltrate" the WH press room, he was invited. And if he did infiltrate the press room what does that say about WH security, post 9/11.

3)See #2

8. regarding your second point
Maybe there are DUers who would love to infiltrate the WH press corps, but the fact is -- it would be impossible for us, who are similarly "credentialed" as Gannon.

The fact is he managed to get into a highly secure zone even though he was a nobody.

Clearly, he has a connection to someone in the administration.

10. I Don't Mind a Freeper Firing Back Like That
It's how anyone here would respond to criticism.

It's not the response I have a problem with, it's participation in what was basically a hijacking of the media.

And, as you point out, the culprit is Bush and whoever in his administration was responsible for this.
