Since Karl Rove uses his Segretti method of “marketing” in order to deflect from lies, spread lies, and in general sell a Simulacra from inside a Simulacra, let us take some time and read the “tea-leaves” of the most current onslaught of crap: Social Security.
The entire Social Security war games are too reminiscent of too many other such strategies. The most striking element is the amount of coverage the MSM is allowing this non-topic and the amount of effort and money spent on pushing it. Yes, I know the argument is that “they” have always wanted to get at Social Security, but given the current financial climate, military actions, and so on. Everyone knows, including Republicans up for reelection that this is a no-sell: So why all of this urgency, almost 24/7 and on every network, every junket, and every pundit? Why is this so urgent right now?
My feeling on this is that it is a red herring for something else, although I cannot fully conclude what the actual box-within-a-box scenario is.
My three theories are as follows (please note, these are just speculation, not based on evidence of any sort… just my own musings and meanderings):
1). The SS books are cooked via Enron-type chefs. There is next to no money, but no one is aware of that yet. Should the public catch on, this would be a crisis of horrific proportions. Who is really able to see/track the money when all money is electronically represented? So all opinions are based on the assumption of what is there. Anyone think this is the case?
2). We may have done much more in Iraq and Iran than anyone is aware of, including Congress. However what was done or how much is absolutely anyone’s guess. What is visible is that everyone on both sides of the isle, in the media and in all public discourse is much focused on SS. I know we are able to multi-task, multi-process, multi-think… why is this administration almost blotting out the sun with this issue?
3). Just like the moral values vote was thrown up as smoke and mirrors in order to deflect from election fraud (and which has finally been debunked); this new game could be a continuation of smoke and mirrors. In fact, if this were not the topic, I wager the two most important arguments would be the 2004 election fraud allegations and the actions of this administration in the Mid East: neither of which is something the Rove machine wants anyone to pay attention to.
Okay, these are my three guesses. Or it is possible that these lunatics actually think their SS theory is that important. What do you guys think? Suggestions? Am I just reading too much into the game again or does anyone see this in a similar light? If so, what do you think would be the reason? I have listed a few below, please add your own or anything else you feel would be relevant to this discussion (e.g. my overactive imagination probably).
