Bush didn't win, Kerry didn't lose
Their ORGANIZATIONS are the victors or the losers. Think about it, Bush couldn't have won this election without a superb GOP organization, and Kerry couldn't have lost without a less than adequate Dem Organization.

Look at the first debate, if that didn't kill Bush's chances, than I don't know what could have. Gore's sighs were a big deal and Bush went so much farther! Bush is the puppet and Kerry is the puppet. Bush had the organization behind him every step of the way, putting spin on every friggin program and cheating with the vote where most needed.

People are basically sheep, the Repubs KNOW this. You don't need to be intelligent, truthful or competent. We all should have learned this from the past 4-5 years. All that you need is to say the right things at the right times. The Dems have not learned this yet. They are trying to fight with TRUTH on thier side. Truth takes too many minutes and thouht to explain and understand. SOUNDBITES that sound good are what the American people want.

Until the Democrats master the PR. SPIN. SIMPLICITY OF MESSAGE. they are doomed. We don't need a superb candidate, we need a superb ORGANIZATION.

The Dems are too diverse to come together on this. There are too many different opinions within the party and until the party can agree to disagree and act as one we will continue to lose. The Republicans already know this. They are willing to sacrifice ANYTHING to win. We are not.

What are we going to do? There are brilliant PR People out there, there are brilliant organizers out there, we cannot make use of them until we swallow our own personal opinions and are willing to join together and sacrifice everything to get the Neocons OUT!

1. The GOP controls most of the broadcast media. That's 90% of the battle
already won for them. It's easy to SELL product if the media never TESTS the product and repeats only what YOU want to be heard.

3. True, but that is PART of their organization
The GOP controls what they need to control to win, we don't

7. That's not democracy. Dems shouldn't control the newsmedia, either.
All we should do now is make sure the media is EXPOSED as being under GOP control so they have to be held to account.

5. Repubs Got the Equivalent of Several $BILLION in Free Advertising
So even though Kerry raised more money than any Democrat ever has before,
our message was still buried by the media.

you are right though, that became meaningless in the spin.

6. My dad used to say that he voted for "the man" not the party
that it was the man in office that mattered. I always felt the same way...up until 2000.

8. Huh? If anything Bush has reinforced that idea
if there were ever a man who made a difference it is Bush- simply because he is so far beyond acceptable.

9. No, not really
He is the "front man" to the huge organization that has enabled him to win.

Bush would not have won (legimately or illegetimately) if he didn't have a huge organization behind him covering his tracks, fixing votes, spinning his sorry ass performances in the debates, helping sell the Iraq war, covering up all of the lies, mistakes and in general incompetence. Bush has screwed up so much that I absolutely know that he is just the front man to the organization that is truly running things. Clinton was "the man", Bush is "the organization".
