PEACE-OUT.COM website is up and running! (CO counseling)

For those interested in counter-recruitment issues and the like, the newly formed website WWW.PEACE-OUT.COM is now up and running.

It was conceived by Perry O'Brien, a recently-discharged conscientious objector from the Army. It has become the effort of him, myself, and Chas Davis, another CO from the Army.

Take a moment and check it out. Bear in mind that it's still in the infancy stages -- we'll have more links for news and case stories and the like. If you know anyone in the military who is conflicted about what they are doing, PLEASE refer them to this site.

He is not in the military. I sent him the link before I even looked at it but still, there is lots there, I have just begun to look at it. We are preparing. When he registered he put on his form that he was a CO and we sent copies to both of us parents so we have dates. My oldest seems to think he can get out of it in other ways, I can't convince him to do this so I will send him the link and hope for the best (I really do not want to have to break his kneecaps).

6. I'm already a member of IVAW...

And I actually met one of the other people on peace-out through a message his mother posted on MFSO.

We're actually looking to combine our efforts with the likes of the Center on Conscience and War, Central Committee on Conscientious Objection, War Resisters League, and GI Rights Hotline. We also have a bit of a relationship with IVAW over shared goals, especially since I'm a member of both orgs!
