Bush's Allies in His Quest for World Wide Freedom
seem to lack that freedom themselves. First and foremost is our "most favored" trading partner, China (or should I say Sam Walton's most favored trading partner?). Pretty good record on freedom and Democracy there.

How about our "friends" in Pakistan. Nothing like a brave military junta general as our closest ally against al Queda.

Maybe someone can tell me what the polls would look like if there was a free election in Saudi Arabia. Think the new government would have an "American" face?

The King of Jordan should put his popularity to a plebiscite and see how he makes out.

Egypt could stand to have a free election for a change.

Kuwait would be an interesting election, but don't hold your breath waiting for one.

As President Asshole tries to "con" a majority of Americans with his false freedom bullshit in an attempt to steal oil for his friends, we should look at the donut and not the hole.

Germany, France, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Denmark, Mexico, and even Canada are all opposed to his foreign policy sham. If you put the Bush alliance to a vote in Italy, Australia, and even England, Bush's policy would lose.

So, why are the world's Dictatorships and Monarchies in step with Bush and the Neo-Cons' philosophy of fighting for "freedom", but the worlds long standing Democracies are against it?

Could it be that it's difficult to fool a really free people?

2. I read an interesting point recently, Bush doesn't mention Human Rights,
in relation to Democracy or Freedom. Touchy subject, I presume, and his speech writers may not want to remind folks about abuse issues of our watch, detention legal issues of our watch and, as you post, the records of nations we deem partners...

(A syndicated columnist, either print or net brought it up...)

3. You're right on target
Bush seems to skip the human Rights part.

Curious, isn't it.
