Kerry Just Kicked Serious Ass on MSNBC
I'm still undecided, but it was an impressive segment...

7. He said that he did not vote to give * a blank check
He voted to give * authorization to use force as a last resort, which * promised to do. He also said * promised to build a coalition. He called * a liar for promising to do those things, then breaking that promise.

He also said that * will have to answer a whole lot of questions before he votes affirmatively to give up the 87 billion, such as: what are you going to use it for, exactly where will it be used, and is he willing to give up some of the tax cuts in order to get the money.

There's no way * will get the whole amount he is requesting.

10. Kerry needs to distinguish between his desires and reality better.
That Bush may have promised to use force only as a last resort does not contradict the statement that Kerry voted "yes" on a bill that was, in fact, a blank check for Bush. Is Bush a liar? Yes. Should Kerry have known that already? Yes.

Kerry's hardest task isn't convincing people that Bush can't be trusted, but convincing people that he can. I want to be convinced that Kerry has somehow learned a lesson -- that he knows he grossly misplaced his trust, and knows how to make sure it won't happen again. I relish the thought of a sucker in the Oval Office only marginally more than the thought of a crook.

11. I wish someone would ask Kerry...
why he didn't do something when Shrub didn't follow the conditions he was given.

Shrub DIDN'T get UN approval.

Shrub DIDN'T use force as a last resort.

Shrub DIDN'T build a coalition.

AND SENATOR KERRY DID WHAT WHEN SHRUB BROKE THE LAW?

Nothing. Nothing at all. That's EXACTLY what Senator Kerry did.

And today American troops are dying because Senator Kerry did nothing.

So, now Senator Kerry will only vote for 86 billion dollars, right?

4. Does it get replayed?
Damn, I missed it.

Noone can top him in warrior mode. He's fearless. The kind of guy who runs his boat INTO gunfire to confront the enemy, not away from it.

14. I thought so, too. Between Kerry and Dean and David Obey
refusing to stand down on asking for Rummy and Wolfie's resignations, I think we've had a decent day.

15. On Kerry, he said some of the things he's said before...
but he was much more forceful on not voting to give Bush a blank check to go to war. He got his point across believably that he and the rest of Congress gave Bush permission to do the homework and build a coalition...etc. It's just that I believed him this time. And he said he wasn't going to vote to just give Bush the whole $87 billion, that he had learned now that Bush had to account for how he planned to use that money...up front. (My interpretation, at any rate.)
