So much for the 'liberal' media
Remember that controversy when the United Church of Christ tried to run a commercial on CBS and other stations?

Remember the response of CBS?

"Because this commercial touches on the exclusion of gay couples and other minority groups by other individuals and organizations," reads an explanation from CBS, "and the fact the Executive Branch has recently proposed a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman, this spot is unacceptable for broadcast on the (CBS and UPN) networks."

Why would a card carrying member of the 'liberal' media conspiracy be in agreement with a RW Administration?

My tolerance for RW Ignorance has ended. I say if anyone says the media, and especially CBS, is too liberal, then they deserve the title of stupid.

1. I think the answer is in the post before yours.
Because CBS is broadcast news which is regulated by the FCC and the FCC is following a right-wing conservative agenda.

2. the problem with that is
Conservatives have been pounding the "liberal media" crap into our heads for so long that it has sunk into the mainstream consciousness... now, every time something goes against Republicans, they first blame liberal media bias. If something goes for the Republicans, it is in spite of liberal media bias.

Unfortunately, we do not have nearly as coordinated an effort in response from our side.

It'll make a nice epitaph for the tombstone, dontcha think?

not to get all grim or nothin' but damn, I'm tired of hearing this, and nodding in agreement. Well, one of these days, they'll get the ol' Tin Lizzy cranked up and running again, and maybe she'll top out at around 40mph or so.

Meanwhile they're on cruise control. Little slipups like the Preznit's SS piratization screwup are being calmly recalculated, to be unleashed again when it can do the most harm, er, good...
