It doesn't get much more blatant than this. It's a video clip of a TV interview with Rummy lying through his teeth and claiming no one in the Bush administration had ever said Saddam was an immediate threat. The interviewer then quotes Rummy's own words back at him. Nice to see the lying ahole forced to squirm for once instead of just getting the usual kiss-ass treatment this gang of crooks and war criminals usually gets from the "free" press.

Rather than commenting on the obvious point - Rumsfeld clearly lied - a rightist I was arguing with immediately jumped to say that the video was biased because it cut Rumsfeld off as he was explaining.

I'm in midtown Manhattan. Not so bad here, but I am always surprised when I meet someone red. Someone who lives in Chelsea "supports the war", but he really comes from Long Island, and still thinks the way they do. As he said to me, "Everyone in Long Island is in favor of this war." Oh, hopeless, I thought.

I used to know a few Republicans (many years ago), but even they have had to rethink things now that Bush is a "Republican". They wouldn't call themselves Democrats, but they don't support Bush.

I know of only one Republican living in my building (almost 200 apts.), and he is generally not very bright, anyway.

I am a computer newbie. And the video loaded 14 of the 30k and that is all it will load. And it plays only not quite half of the video as well. Any suggestions as to what I can do about this? God I wish I hadseen this.

Sorry I can't offer much help here other than perhaps if you are on a dial up connection to maybe give it some more time to see if the load will complete. I know I have had the experience a few times when I was using dial up that sometimes a video clip stream would appear to only partially download and then hang before completing, but if I just minimized the window,left it alone went off and did something else a while later I would hear the sound kick in again and maximizing the window I would see that the video clip was playing from the point where it had appeared to fail.

They go to all this trouble to prevent us from saving the movie, and prevent half of us from WATCHING it in the first place. I'd much rather download it with getright or just my internet browser and THEN watch it. But I can't figure out a way to do that.

You might want to try reloading the page (f5). Make sure you don't have any other transfers while it's loading (downloads, loading other pages, AIM chat, etc.)
