Should I keep my mirror shield up?

Back during the selection of 2004 before the proliferation of forums and email lists there were a mere few and we had all sorts of people making suggestions and sharing knowledge and skills on bout three lists. A self-proclaimed Pagan posted a simple protection ritual using a mirror. Pointing the mirror toward Washington to ward of evil and chanting three times what ever you wanted. Mine rhymed and I used an old powder compact as small unobtrusive and easy to control.

Three times it has been accidentally disturbed and the compact closed. The first time was the day before 911. The second time was the day before Wellstone's plane went down. This time it was the day before the Earthquake/Tsunami. I cannot say that knowing that people are going to die is of any use, at least at this point and I wouldn't know if it actually worked for protection because that would mean nothing would happen. (of course the elephant repellent works do you see any rogue elephants in Wyoming?)

Any help is always good. It is better to get involved in physical ways, but I believe magick also helps. :) I hope that your spell will reveal the truth of the theft that has occurred this time. We are all paying for this corrupt regime's theft.

Your ward did not prevent thousands from dying bloody deaths in Iraq, it did not prevent 700 people from dying of flu in the USA this season, it did not prevent murderous Bush from taking office again. Why, then, if all these troubling things happen despite your aegis, should you stake any faith in the ill omen of the mirror's closure?
