Okay, I finally understand why Elvis put a bullet through a TV set.
I don't own a gun, but I sure as hell wanted to shoot my TV set this morning.

First I watched Russert let Jerry Falwell rant on with his inanities and keep interrupting guests who had a different view, without Russert telling him to let them have their say.

Then Bob Schaeffer(sp?) had Bob Woodward on as one of his guests. When asked what he thought about Condi being appointed Secretary of State, the Great Nixon Slayer became the Great Bush Sycophant and told us how George believes in what he's doing and so do those around him. (Woodward has become nothing more than a Bush pimp. Either there's something material in it for him, or worse yet, he really believes what he's saying.)

Then George Stephanopolis lets George Will rant on about election fraud in the Ukraine, but heaven forbid anyone on TV would bring up election fraud in the U.S.

At that point, I clicked off the TV knowing that within another moment I'd have thrown a chair at it. Jeeeez, I guess I'm going to have to keep that TV turned off for the next four years.

Then again, if I did that, I wouldn't get to see "moral" Bush voters expressing their regrets and outrage when they finally realize just how badly they've been fucked.

1. Bob Woodward has indeed become a bush pimp
It started with bush nicknaming him "Woody," and giving him special access to private conferences. Woodward has received information which bush had no business giving to him, but it created a little mutual admiration society between the two of them.

bush has a genuine knack to instantly recognize a person with the same sleazy character traits as he has, and manipulate that person to his benefit.

2. I quit watching Sunday morning crap tv a long time ago.
How old is George Stephanopolous? Shouldn't he be enlisting by now? I'm sure that the pathetically bitter little man must have some special talents that the armed forces could use. On the front lines. Carrying a gun or riding on the hood of a humvee.

5. C'mon guys, you're getting off the point.
The vast majority of the American media have become mouthpieces for the Bush administration. WE'RE TALKING PRAVDA HERE.

Somehow, somewhere along the line, we've got to make these people understand that all their doing is helping to foment a dangerous response in this country. A second civil war? That's already well under way and has been for years. The question is, how to resolve it before there's mass bloodshed?

6. Russians were intelligent and cynical enough...

to know they were being brainwashed. I have to say most Americans aren't. I've met many people who used to live in the former Soviet Union who came here to America to live after it fell. Instead of watching TV, they would get together to have discussions about literature and make wine, and they knew all along their government and media was bullshitting them.
