An Open Letter To Maria Shriver-Schwarzenegger
Edited on Wed Sep-03-03 05:17 PM by Flying_Pig
Dear Maria:

What WERE you thinking, when you approved of your husband running for governor? As a reporter, a wife, a mother, and a member of the Kennedy family, didn't you know any of the following?:

> That Arnold's past was going to be discovered and broadcast for all to see? Were you aware that he had sex orgy and drug parties? If so, why did you agree to his candidacy, and stand for the public humiliation that has followed all of these revelations? Are you aware that you have soiled the Kennedy name in doing so? If you didn't know about his past, do you not feel betrayed now? If so, why aren't you calling for Arnold to drop out of the race under threat of divorce, ...or, perhaps you are?

> Coming from one of America's premier Democratic families, why have you allowed your husband to become a tool for a radical right-wing cabal, in their efforts to overthrow the government in California, much as this same group did on a national basis, during the presidential election of 2000?

> Either you are an extraordinarily stupid person, to have allowed your husband, and yourself, to become willing participants in this charade, or you are enough of a megalomaniac to sign off on it anyway, despite it all. Which is it?

> Have you thought about your children, and what they might be going through right now, learning from the press about "Daddy's orgies", and drug use? Weren't you aware that, in agreeing to support Arnold's candidacy, that you would expose your children to this type of an onslaught, and that it may very well affect them the rest of their lives? Does it speak to an unbelievable level of selfishness, that you and your husband have allowed this to happen, children be damned?

> Do you think all of the above, has helped your career as a semi-respected broadcast journalist, a job you may need once you divorce Arnold after he fails in his bid?

> Do you enjoy seeing your husband with egg on his face, ...literally? (Free advice: Get used to it)

> And finally, I was wondering, ....have you no shame?

Sincerely,
Flying_Pig
(who will be flying the day your husband becomes governor)

1. Maria?
> Either you are an extraordinarily stupid person, to have allowed your husband, and yourself, to become willing participants in this charade, or you are enough of a megalomaniac to sign off on it anyway, despite it all. Which is it?

She's not the sharpest pencil in the box. I used to watch her on the early morning CBS show back when she first started in the business. She replaced Diane Sawyer who had moved on. I guess she had to write her own interview questions and believe me I know grade school kids who are better journalists. I believe, like Shrub, she got where she is because of whom she is, not her ability.

I don't think this is her fault though. It's Arnold who doesn't seem to give a sh*t about what he puts his wife and children through. I heard she had objected to his running for Governor, but he apparently has twisted her arm to go along with him.

4. All I know, is that on camera, and in print, she has stated...
she is 100% behind his candidacy. What are we to believe, that Arnold went ahead anyway. without her blessing? I think not!

7. Oh I'm sure he had to get some consent from her.
I, too, have reluctantly gone along with my husband at times because he was so adamant about doing something that I wasn't 100% for. He has done the same for me though, too.

He's her husband, for God's sake.

I really hate it when Freepers go after Hillary. This is the same shit.

2. I doubt if Maria.....
has much control over Arnold but your questions
are worth pondering. She must have had some
influence as he is rather left of most repugs.

8. Let's review.
Numerous affairs ... Republicans hypocrits been there, done that.

Murders... As far as manslaughter, I think the Republicans have matched Democrats on that at least case for case. If you have proof of murders, bring it on.

Committing girls to mental hospitals.... Are you talking about family members ? Details please.

10. "Committing girls to mental hospitals" -- Rosemary Kennedy
I believe she is still alive and has been permanently institutionalized since the 1950s.

13. I thought that was what the poster was referring to.
That is why I asked if he/she meant committing a family member. I believe Rosemary died in the last few years. She was at St. Coletta's in Jefferson Wisconsin.

9. How does the murder of not one, but two
Edited on Wed Sep-03-03 05:38 PM by Flying_Pig
Kennedy brothers by extremists, tarnish the Kennedy name? Are you saying that the murders the Bush clan, and Reagan, and Nixon have committed, and Iran/Contra, and Iraq, and all the rest, are better examples of virtue? And exactly what planet did you just drop in from?

6. I really believe that Arnold himself did not know
that he was going to run until he said it. His closest aids thought he was not going to run. I think he just got carried away with himself and decided at the last minute. I would bet that Maria thought he was going to announce he was not going to run.

You do not go on the Tonight Show to announce that sort of thing. What was Maria going to do after he announced like he did ?

Just shows you what an egomaniac Arnold really is. He couldn't resist pulling off the big one.

15. I know that he wanted to run in 2002
and was scared off by the threatened disclosures. I still think Maria was against it and he just jumped in at the last minute on his own. I could be wrong, but that is what I think.

17. hell with maria
what about Arnold? Doesn't the prospect of this guy calling the shots in a key economic western state give ya the fibblies? Just having a good idea and notoriety doesn't necessarily qualify a person for the office of Govenor. Not being from California might disqualify my opinion, but it seems they've been down this road before. Don't let Reagan happen again!

19. A difference. Reagan had been in politics for many
years before he ran for Governor. What makes me shake my head is that he was President of the Screen Actors Guild...A LABOR UNION! Odd place for a Republican isn't it? Arnold can't even claim that. A relative brought it up to me that Arnold is a businessman. I brought up to her that Shrub had an MBA.

So, Arnold has no business running the fifth largest economy in the world. We need someone who is Clinton-like and who understands how the state ticks and global economies work because California has economic ties to most of the world.

I don't blame her - what did you expect her to do to stop him?

She can file for divorce - still doesn't stop him.....
