This has been a concern of many DUers for some time before the election.
The question before the election went something like -- when Kerry wins what happens if bushie doesn't leave the white house.
Well we KNOW Kerry won -- the exit polls were correct (some good articles on www.Zogby.com about the validity of exit polls). But as some predicted bush will not let leave the white house --and frankly I doubt that he will leave in four years.
They know how to manipulate nearly any vote total (using every method of vote fraud) and have been successful since at least 2000 in several states, 2002 Georgia in particular (robgeorgia file) and now in the 2004 election.
My question --how long before the gop calls for a Constitutional Convention and lifts the 2 term limit so that bushie can again have his mafia manipulate the votes again to give him a seemingly overwhelming majority. I believe that 3/4 of states are needed to call for a Constitutional Convention. The reason why 3/4 of the states didn't fall in line to call for a CC years ago -- was that some of the groups who were demanding a CC had plans to kill democracy. The problem with a CC is that anything can happen and the Constitution could be tossed out and the document which replaces it could be a very undemocratic document -- and if fundies have their way a theocracy would be jammed down the throats of all Americans.
We now have a band of thugs running all three branches of our government -- and if they get enough states to agree (3/4 needed) a Constitutional Convention could become a reality.
bushie -- king for life -- he wants relieve the burden of decisions making from our shoulders -- since god is speaking directly to him <most people making this claim are in a nut house or under heavy meds>.
When I read the book "Fortunate Son" by Hatfield (who was suicided) there was a passage about bushie trying to convince his daddy not to concede his loss of the Texas Governorship race. That passage was very chilling -- because it showed a pattern of behavior and a mind set -- that even if he lost -- bushie would not concede his loss. So we saw the mafia lawyer -- fighting the vote count -- and take the case to the Supreme Court where bushie was virtually appointed the Prez.
Then we watched people respond to the Kerry message -- people turned out in the thousands when he campaigned -- and people turned out in the millions to vote for Kerry. Yet bushie pull a win out of his hat -- supposedly by last minute voters -- while all the while the bushie gang was busy SUPPRESSING vote.
So even if the people working their hearts out trying to show Vote Fraud -- it is unlikely that bush will be removed from the white house -- EVER. The GOPigs will work to keep the current voting system (that worked so well for the bush mafia) in place for the next elections.
Then there is the little fact that only one or two more states are needed to start the Constitutional Convention process to rewrite the pesky road blocks -- like the amendments to the constitution.
Whereas Article V states in its entirety;
"The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate."
