Too Late, Colin... the blood is on your hands!

Before people start lamenting the loss of the 'moderate' voice of Colin Powell.... let's get real. His My Lai coverup alone exempified a military career that exposed his willingness to be the water boy for the right. But, more than that, the blood of much of what has happened in Iraq is on his hands.

Had Colin Powell REFUSED to lie to the UN....the nation might not have supported the PNAC goals that led to war. Had Colin Powell REFUSED to remain silent as the lies he told were used to validate the march to war, - many Americans might have had secod thoughts. I really believe that. Colin's credibility - his image as an honest, moral man of great integrity (yeah, right) were used by the warmongers to get to where they are now.

There was a plea to Powell to resign more than a year ago. Had he done that before the election, and had he exhibited the courage to renounce the war and the acknowledge how he allowed himself to be exploited.... perhaps Bush would not be the president elect now. Too late, Mr. Powell. Far too late.
