Want to turn control of our timber resources over to the logging industry? Sure, just name it the "Healthy Forests" initiative. Give polluters carte blanche to ignore environmental regulations and continue to operate obsolete plants which pour toxins into the atmosphere? Absolutely, but call it the "Clear Skies" plan. Attempt to take money away from public education, thus ensuring that millions of school children will fail to receive much-needed services? You bet, and we'll label this one "No Child Left Behind". Initiate an unprovoked attack on a (largely) defenseless country resulting in the deaths of untold thousands of innocent civilians? Great idea, only be sure to refer to it as "Operation Iraqi Freedom". And, of course, this Orwellian Bush double-speak bullshit passes unchallenged by the "liberal media". I swear, I have been a Kerry supporter from the beginning, but this morning I mailed a contribution to the Dean campaign. Dr. Dean seems more than willing to stand up to the deranged bastard who has somehow oozed under the transom and into our White House. I still hope to see John Kerry come out swinging, but it is difficult to ignore the passion and moral clarity of Howard Dean.
