The Satanic Christians of the USA
by Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey
http://english.pravda.ru/mailbox/22/101/399/14550_Christians.html

excerpt:
Yet today, two thousand years after the Passion of Christ and fifteen hundred years after the death of Muhammed, we continue to see acts of depravity and blasphemy justified under religious banners on a scale as primary and warped as that used five hundred years ago by the Inquisition.

One such example was the blasphemy of the Taleban regime, which usurped the Noble Qu'ran and substituted its core message with a mixture of Pashtun lore and extremist Islamist law. The result: an insult and a direct attack against Islam itself. Similarly, the so-called Christian Fundamentalists in the United States of America, whose warped and blasphemic view of their religion supports the acts of the Bush regime.

The Christian Fundamentalists of America are the mirror image of the Taleban, both of which insult and deny their Gods.

How can any Christian, in whatever shape or form, support an act of murder, much less mass murder? How can any Christian turn a blind eye to acts of torture? How can any Christian accept an act of rape? Did these fundamentalist Christians in the USA know when they voted for Bush that a substantial number of sisters, wives and mothers of men wanted by the USA in Iraq were raped in custody and rather than abort or face the humility of their condition, meted out by the soldiers of Bush, preferred to commit suicide?

2. They don't know.
I've dated more than one fundie. And believe me when I say that they don't know. Honestly, anything--anything--that doesn't fit into their W-as-Messiah worldview doesn't stay in their brains any longer than a falling leaf or swatted mosquito would. They don't know what evil they create. They don't want to know. They honestly won't ever know. They are impervious to facts. And so I don't believe we can win on facts.

3. Worldwires are showing pics of dead and injured Iraqi women and kids
you won't see it in America. Remember, America liberated the American Indians. How sick we've become with no spiritual growth. God have mercy.

4. I am struck with a question
I am a non-theist, but I have a question to those with a christian faith. The radio talk shows are full of people condemning main stream Muslims for not taking a more active roll in denouncing religious extremism. (Muslims here, don't attack me, I am just stating what I here on these shows) I wonder what christians think and do about radicalism. I know some here on the board are Christians and take offense to being lumped into the fundie group. Are your churches doing anything to combat radicalism, or are they going along with the vocal minority, much like what is going on with radical Islam?

So he can continue his war on islamfascists aka Mideast countries, in his hopes of producing Rapture to appease his ultra conservative base who gave him the election. They feel damn good about killing Muslims, the evil people Falwell, Roberston, Coulter, and Savage believe they are. Let's kill as may of those Muslims we can,,,,while similing that we are liberating them. Republican assholes.

5. Anti Christ
I recall the good nuns of my Catholic grammer school often stating that the devil will inhabit the body of the person who is tempting us to sin. The devil is very clever in looking like someone very attractive to deceive us into giving in to the allure. Today I was remembering that thinking of Bush as the Anti-Christ, the devil incarnate, leading the believing masses right over the cliff.

Does not the believer have the responsibility to know the difference between worshipping God and a false god? Is this not really a test by God of the believers? This is very serious that so many are taking all of us, and a good part of the rest of the world, with them!
