Do you think the GOP would get behind a BAN on ADULTERY
amendment to the constitution? I'm just figuring if they're so worried about marriage and it's sanctity this would be their first step.

Just think...you could pose as a Republican constituent to your senator and ask them to seriously look into putting forward such a bill.

How many people are getting divorced because the gays next to them are acting all married-like? How many are getting divorced because the woman is screwing the husband's brother? Or because the husband is screwing the woman in cubicle next to his?

WE MUST PROTECT MARRIAGE. PROSECUTE ALL WHO COMMIT ADULTERY! Hey, the Bible backs that up.

13. But an Amendment to ban Divorce would fit, wouldn't it?
I'm sure that would protect marriage.

They'd go overseas, they'd just knock their wives off... Republicans don't follow laws.

3. Hell yes they would. They have abortions, but they want abortion outlawed
Some are gay, but they want gays to be discriminated against.

Some are minorities, but they are entrapped by some sickening stockholm syndrome.

Some are powerful women, but they want women set back to second-class citizenry.

See. Laws don't apply to them, just to the general populace. They are above the laws of the land.

5. Hold on.
If one participant is not a married person, that person cannot be said to be committing adultery. So that person should not be stoned.

I just mention this. I know our armed forces took a different view of this, but they were wrong.

8. No I absolutely agree
However I would suggest that the non-married party is an Adulterer once removed and should therefore be placed in stocks in the middle of the local mall.

7. I think they should be forced to push for a ban on DIVORCE.
If marriage between a man and a woman is sacred and to be protected at all costs, then divorce should be illegal. Right?

22. Seriously! Everything is black or white with these folks so . . .
So they should be FORCED to follow it through to the logical conclusions:

Marriage is sacred -- divorce illegal
Life is sacred -- all abortion illegal INCLUDING in case of rape or incest
Life is sacred 2 -- capital punishment unconstitutional
Against stem cell research -- no more invitro (sp?) fertilization

etc. etc.

10. Don't forget masturbation
The Supreme Court finally struck down a law last year that punished homsexuality as a crime, saying it was unconstitutional. They overruled an earlier decision called Bowers. Scalia dissented and complained:

"State laws against bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality, and obscenity are likewise sustainable only in light of Bowers' validation of laws based on moral choices. Every single one of these laws is called into question by today's decision; the Court makes no effort to cabin the scope of its decision to exclude them from its holding."

24. The Bible
Doesn't the Bible forbid casting one's seed upon the ground. If Sperm is needed to create life then it is not only a sin but actually akin to Abortion to kill one's "seed".

29. As I recall...
I think Onan killed his own brother or something like that... Anyway, God told Onan that since his brother died without siring kids, Onan had to impregnate his dead brother's wife. So Onan starts to do the nasty, but pulls out at the last second and "spills his seed" on the ground (I can't remember why he didn't want to do it).

So, just like the story of Sodom & Gomorrah is twisted into some sort of anti-gay lesson, the story of Onan really isn't about masturbation at all -- God was pissed at Onan because he refused a direct order from The Big Guy.

Most states have foregone adultery as a cause of action in divorce complaints. You didn't think the Republicans wouldn't have figure this one out, did you?

Why not.

Other possibilities include:
Divorce
Prohibition
Book banning
clothing styles
birth control

They are all in conflict with mainstream America.

33. In some states Adultery is illegal. . .
for example, in Pennsylvania. It would be really interesting to find
out those states where this is illegal and proffer up ballot refferendums
that would imprison adulterers. There would be no need for any bill; rather, the referendum could ask for enforcement of current law.

This would flush out the hypocrites.

35. Some States Still Have Anti-Sodomy Laws Too
... but they are only enforced against queers. Even UNMARRIED straight folks can have all the sodomy they want... in public places... in the back seat of cars... in movie theaters. Those folks (if caught) are told to button-up-and-move-on.

Quite a different story with queers.

I'm starting to hate my own country. Wow.

38. Prohibition that's the real one to hit them with!
You have no idea how perfect that is. The churches in many of these red states do fight alcohol but the community won't give up their booze. The GOP won't back it and the churches will lose their faith in the GOP.

It's PERFECT!
