How would the blowhards be spinning Kerry 286 EV??
Would we be wringing our hands over "Moral values"??Nope.. they would be spinning 24/7 about how it's IRAQ..It's the economy..and how this election was a total repudiation of the right wing..

So, the mandate of GWB is the 136K votes that Kerry did NOT get in Ohio.. Or DID HE???

The phony "rightward tilt of America" is totally BOGUS... don't buy it for a minute

1. Fairweather Friends
The media are absolutely complicit in assisting Bush on his mission to turn this country sharply to the right.

Just in the past couple of days, they've already assumed the stance that modern liberalism is dead; that the republican party is the only of the two parties that embraces true morality; that we've entered a new age of moral duty; that republican GOTV efforts have managed to turn out an invisible portion of the population; that our country will become even redder by 2008 (my mom was watching FOX news).

I cannot watch the mainstream news right now, because the absolute negligence in coverage - the omission of the BBV controversy - is appalling.

This e-vote scandal, along with the hundreds of other Bush scandals, would be the end of the republican party if journalism hadn't died with the Fairness Doctrine in the 80's.

3. They DELIBERATELY avoided the BBV issue for over a YEAR
The story they should be coveriing now is why some DREs count backwards and drop votes altogether..

They have "gotten the word"...no bad-mouthing the "system".. The dirty secret is that MOST people do not trust the BBVs.. Had the count gone the other way, the repubes would be frothing at the moouth hollering about FRAUD..

They WERE..before and during, but since their "fixes" worked, they couldn;t care less now..

Now it's on to "moralizing America"..:puke:

2. For a few hours on election day, they DID think Kerry had won....
they all believed their own exit polls. And they were all behaving rather differently from before.

4. Yep, and they were saying ...

That a president Kerry should appoint several repubs to his cabinet.

Boy, what a different song they were singing the next day.
