What the h#%l?? - Nader looking for a 34 state recount??

Got wind of this second-hand, but I think it was on Randi's show today.

If this is true - great news! This is what 'ol Ralphie does best - and he'll be able to get media coverage.

Confirmation, anyone?

3. Yep, it was on Randi. The rep from BBV said it.
See, Ralph isn't all bad! =) As Randi said, this is the kind of thing he's really good at. That whole presidential candidate thing was not a shining moment.

4. But is that really good news?
If he does this, people will roll their eyes and think it's far too much to ask. Then, when we want something smaller, they'll brush us off as jumping on the bandwagon and saying it was already decided after Nader's demand -- no recounts. Of course, we have the recount laws on our side, provided we can prove that 'mistakes' **ahem** have brought the final tally to within a certain percentage needed to trigger a recount.

of the GOP yet again? His service is never done.
I'll wait to jump on this particular bandwagon.

and MSNBC combined! Yaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!

She is directing us to donate to http://blackboxvoting.org AND to fax Nader to get the ball rolling on recounts

Would someone mind putting the fax number in this thread?

(I don't completely understand why we'd have to fax Nader to do this but I'm all for getting the recounts.)

39. yeah, then we'd have President Edwards...pretty cool in
my book. If the pres. resigns, the VP gets it...

Not to give Nader more credit than he's due, but he certainly knew and paid attention to the BBV issue; perhaps this is the only reason he insisted on staying in the race, so he'd have good standing to be able to question the outcome.

15. I heard it on Randi's show
Just about 25 minutes ago. A man from www.blackbloxvoting.org was talking with Randi and he told her that it is Ralph Nader, not John Kerry or John Edwards who is demanding the massive recount.3000 municipalities will be recounted to investigate and see if the machine was reprogrammed to do something other than record the vote correctly. Randi said, "this is what Ralph is good at doing!" So maybe we need to thank our lucky stars that he was in the race at least partially.

They asked that we fax this number: 212-265-0092
Just put send it to "Ralph" at this number. In the body of the message, put black box voting.org and include your name. They need to get a number of these faxes as petition to get the Freedom of Information papers that she needs. This is the largest audit in history.

WOW! I had to stop to get the latest news. So much fraud is being uncovered that now the House Judiciary Committee is demanding an inquiry. (They are non-partisan). They sent Randi a letter with their demand to the GAO (gOVERNMENT aCCOUNTING oFFICE). In the Ohio district where they just found 4000 extra votes for Bush, it seems that there were only 638 registered voters.

43. House Judiciary Committee asks GAO for investigation
The Committee sent a letter to the Government Accounting Office listing all of the many instances of voter irregularities where Bush received more votes in some precincts than there were actual registered voters. In the case of the 4000 votes in Ohio for Bush, there were only 638 registered voters. Maybe this will not win the vote for Kerry - but we have a right to KNOW if there was fraud.

Also, this is proof that we need to take the election process OUT of the hands of private corporations.

45. I don't like the sounds of this
I was elated to hear about the New Hampshire recount request. It has a chance of happening. But demanding a 34 state recount is almost certainly NOT going to happen and it destroys our chances of turning up something in New Hampshire.
