It's November 3. Kerry just made his concession speech. Bush is at the podium addressin his supporters. What can I get you at the bar?

1. Wish I could drink, but due to meds I take, I can't. Guess it'll be a
root beer.

3. Trust me on this.
Clear-eyed sobriety is the only thing that will get us through this and on to some victory in 2006.

Just a tomorrow will bring new pitfalls to Dear Leader, it will certainly bring them for us, as well.

We need to be more ready than them.

10. Exactly
A nice plate of spaghetti is my poison tonight. I think it's time to take a moment to relax, take care of ourselves, regroup and set our sights on the Statehouses in '05 and Congress in '06.

7. Isn't that a little drastic?
On the other hand, I do have an OLD (1930s) bottle of strychnine from the days when weak doses were used to treat stomach ailments. I've had no desire to open the bottle, let alone smell what's inside - there's still some funky black liquid in there.

I think the bottle was rescued from an old drug store in eastern Texas, if memory serves me right.

9. Happy coincidence..
Well lucky thanks to the US intervention in Afghanistan they are now producing record amounts of opium....how better to deal with the rule of our neo-con leaders

Disclaimer: I am not actually advocating the use of opium - just I'm stuck by the irony...

13. There's also Dead Guy Ale
To remind us that John Ashcroft got beaten by a dead guy back in the 2000 Missouri elections.

12. Nothing at all.

I want this seething anger to remain clear, sharp and undiluted. The road ahead is nasty as hell. I intend to be clearheaded for the journey.
