"Classified" Spending Too?
By Dan Morgan
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, August 27, 2003; Page A23

"Black," or classified, programs requested in President Bush's 2004 defense budget are at the highest level since 1988, according to a report prepared by the independent Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments.

-snip-

"It's puzzling. It sets the mind to wondering where the money's going and what sort of politically controversial things the administration is doing because they're not telling anybody," said John E. Pike, director of GlobalSecurity.org, a research group in Alexandria that has been critical of the administration's defense priorities.

----------

And I know Bushco's supporters would be the first to tell us we don't need to know what they're spending our tax dollars on because it might threaten national security. The secrecy of this administration is unprecedented. I hope somebody latches onto this and gets to the bottom of it. What are they buying that requires so much secrecy?

1. What are they buying??
What they usually buy -- security for the profits of their big-business buddies, access and control of basic services so as to better dictate their terms, the intimidation and assassination of the opposition both foreign and domestic, and then of course bushel baskets of money for their favorite contractors.

2.  Don't forget there is
the continuing feeding at the public pig trough for their
own personal benefit.

Does anyone remember the big Pentagon rip off where the
employees ripped off a minimum of 20 million using govt
credit cards?

The employees refused to pay the money back. The banks
had to eat all of it.

The govt did not fire, arrest and prosecute any of them,
much less enforce restitution.

And pig boy let it slide.

Then Sept 11 happened.

And that is just the Pentagon. Who knows what the NSA does
or IRS or any of them. It is feeding time.

3. UCAVs
Chances are, much of the black budget is going towards Preadator-like assassination aircraft and R&D aimed at bringing about DARPA's hypersonic global dominence bomber.
