Opposing politics clash on campus

While thousands of people waited in line at the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday night to see filmmaker Michael Moore, dozens of protesters and some supporters waived signs, chanted and shouted back and forth.
"I think it's really great," said Roze Mota, a Penn State freshman, there to see Moore. She said that she's a Democrat but that she appreciated seeing so many different opinions.

"I believe that a two-and-a-half-hour commercial that's against Bush is not a nonpartisan speech," said Mark Clairmont, a sophomore who heads the Penn State chapter of Protest Warrior, an organization for young conservatives.

Fifty to 75 protesters marched outside the arena, and a truck with anti-abortion and anti-Kerry messages was parked nearby. Across Curtin Road, a car was pulling a giant figure of Uncle Sam giving George Bush a spanking.
