been made even without 9/11, for an anti-terrorist campaign.This would have required the President to state clearly the nature of the threat we face and what we have to do to counter that long term.If the President was seen as honest and aware of the dangers we face, the American people would have responded positively and no deception of any kind would have been needed.Bush and his entire gang of PNAC have blown that chance and now I am sure that as Iraq heads towards a major meltdown and Afhanistan is back to its Taliban roots,no amount of persuasion will make Americans support any initiative against terrorism because it will be tainted by the dishonesty of this administration.
