Bloody Battles, High Casualties In Iraq Go Unreported In Mainstream Press
The last 24 hours were very bloody indeed for Americans and their Iraqi collaborators as resistance fighters continued their relentless attacks against occupation. Heavy casualties have been confirmed as well as four more US soldiers captured as most Iraqi clashes are now going unreported in mainstream press. Here is just some of Wednesdays clashes in brief.

8 American Soldiers Killed, 6 Resistance Fighters Martyred In Al-Latifiah...5 CIA Operatives Killed West Of Baghdad...Chinook Downed, West Of Al-Tagi...Five Americans Killed, 3 Vehicles Destroyed In Mosul...American Base In Al-Qaim Up In Flames...Black Hawk Downed, More Than 4 US Soldiers Killed In Howaigah

Note: It should be pointed out that these headlines, and the blurbs for those who click the link, are compiled from non-western sources with reporters actually on the ground in the locations mentioned.

As everyone knows, the truth is only available from western reporters barricaded inside hotels in the Green Zone, who receive regular briefings from crusadecom

This post was quite correctly locked immediately when posted in the Breaking News Forum. As the locking message indicates, as does my comment above, this source is not at all suitable.

I don't think the reporters who do these stories even attend US military briefings. They are spread out all over Iraq, in places where it would be much too dangerous to have briefings.

4. Incomplete link perhaps?
The non-colored "..." seems to indicate a longer, specific link.

5. I don't watch much TV, but they seem to be editing out a lot of Iraq news
I was surprised that the American soldiers killed grew from 1000 to 1061 with nary a mention of any unpleasantness.

I heard some Democrats on C-Span talking about Iraqi civilian deaths. They were using a number of 13,000, but I have no idea how accurate that is. It makes me mad when television talks about "sweeping, cleaning up, mopping up," etc. You'd think they were doing housework.
