1. Why does MTP do that? Like there aren't any national issues to
discuss.

Go do their debate for their state and do something national for the entire country.

22. "Senate Debate Series"
From the Meet the Press website: "In the 2002 election season, "Meet the Press" created the "Senate Debate Series". The series featured debates between candidates from some of the most competitive Senate races in the country. The debates, moderated by Tim Russert, sought to further educate voters about the candidates as well as the critical issues facing an incoming U.S. Senator. Our "Senate Debate Series" won the prestigious Walter Cronkite-U.S.C. Annenberg School Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism in March 2003."

6. Biden and Lugar again......how many more times do we have to see
them...over and over..and over. You always know what they will say.

If they are questioned about the "Blair Secrets of Iraq War" report, it will be worth it..but I imagine they wont..

12. Somebody forgot to brief Daschle on the right answer
to the "Kerry voted against the $87 billion" question.

Russert: "But Kerry voted against...."

Daschle: "Yes, and I thought it was a mistake."

:wtf:

Right answer: "No, he voted for a package that would have
financed the money tax money raised now instead of adding
to the deficit, and when Bush threatened a veto, Kerry registered
his protest."

:argh:

Hasn't Daschle been listening to AAR? Jesus fucking christ.

15. All Dashle cares about is maintaining his status as Minority Leader.
If he has to sacrifice Kerry to satisfy his rightwing constituency, so be it. Let's just change his middle name to DINO and be done with it. :puke:

18. I watched him, he is articulate but anyone who talks about Saddam
"gassing his people" when we are killing Iraqi citizens right and left.. well lets just say I don't get it. There must be something about this that I do not understand because I think we have no business being in Iraq. I find this whole media thing very demoralizing and I am normally a very optimistic person. The disconnect between what is being reported and what I learn on the Internet is enormous. Essentially Holbrooke stated that he supported taking Saddam out but not the method that was used. Three people agreed that Iraq is a huge mess, including Hagel and Hamilton. All were in agreement that we could not count on any support from our "allies". I don't even know who is still counted in that category.
