Howard Stern Reacts to FCC Michael Powell Fox News Interview
The FCC fines radio broadcasts for alleged indecency, including Howard Stern's radio show.

Michael Powell, FCC chairman, talked about Howard Stern on September 10, 2004 on a Fox News program, "Your World with Neil Cavuto."

Howard Stern responded during his September 13, 2004 radio broadcast.

Stern said Michael Powell is a hypocrite going after him but not Oprah Winfrey, who also airs sexual material, and that we should elect John Kerry and get Powell replaced.

After talking about the FCC, Howard Stern talked about national security, and said John Kerry is a "man of character" who will do a better job of protecting America.

Stern said Bush has diverted resources to Iraq which could have been used to capture Usama bin Laden and his associates.

3. If my memory serves ...
... I believe that actually when Stern started speaking out against Bush, the Bushies were really worried, since Stern's demographic (younger, white males, can't remember the exact age range) is usually very pro-Republican. So, he might actually be doing some good. I never thought I'd say that about Howard Stern. How odd the world has become!

6. what's wrong with "titties?"
Just axing. ;)

I used to think Howard was funny, but I got tired of the fart jokes. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

5. There have been a number of reports suggesting Stern is turning or swining
voters. I think a few percentage points in some areas he is broadcast. He also has listeners donating money to Kerry and making sure they write their profession as "Howard Stern Listener" or something to that effect. If Kerry wins, he might very well owe Stern some big thanks.

7. He's quieted down a tad, but has promised to POUND it for 3 days prior
to the election!

He is very persuasive, and Kerry is damned lucky to have him on his side. Us, too!

Go, Howard!

9. He supports moderates as a whole.
He twice was for Clinton and Hillary too. He also supported Gore in 2000 and is offended by *'s religous zealotry.

10. I've never been a fan
I think he's an asshole *but* I think a lot of redneck Republican assholes respect his opinion so I'm really glad to see him doing this, too. :)
