People who blame disasters on homosexuality/secularism/abortion/liberalism
Get a brain morans!

For every example of "Sodom and Gommorah" they rant on about, I can provide examples to counter theirs.

1. Notice how hurricane activity has been increasing as Bush has risen in the polls post-convention and post-SBVFT?

2. Notice how the states being pounded by these storms have extremely homophobic laws on the books?

3. Hurricane Karl. Allegory much?

4. A local pastor blamed British Columbia's 2003 forest fires on Canada's legalisation of same-sex marriage. Incidentally, the region devastated by these fires is a very right-wing part of B.C.

And so fucking on.

Blaming natural disasters on people's political or moral values is illogical, childish, and self-contrdicting.

2. Don't forget ...
They also like to blame pagans, feminists, Unitarians ... etc.

But, yeah, I agree. It's all how you spin it. If you're looking for 'signs', you can find them b/c bad stuff is always happening.

3. I still remember when SF got hit by the earthquake in '89 ...
and Pat Robertson looking into the camera, sighing, and saying (paraphrasing) "As long as people keep having abortions, these things are going to happen". This really surprised me, considering he didn't blame the gays.

4. My apologies to southern DUer's
.. but I believe that all the hurricanes hitting us this year are God's way of telling the south to not f&*k up the elections again in '04.

Plus it gives JK an opportunity to go there in the aftermath to tell the folks what he'd do and what the pRetzeldent SHOULD be doing. He's doing that, right??? Didn't think so!
