What is Ron Reagan Jr's background? He's so relaxed in front
pf a camera or microphone, and bery articulate. I googled his bio, but didn't find anything. What was he doing before he spoke at his Fathers funeral and came into the political spotlight?

I've been very impressed with his article in Esquire, and the way he co-hosted a talk show on MSNBC, and all the different talk shows he's been on.

1. Ron Regan
did quite a lot of ballet dancing in his younger years. It was rumored that he was gay. Not true. He had quite a falling out with the family when he was young. He studied in New York city.
This all comes from memory. Nothing to cite or direct you to.

14. He actually never had a falling out with them
There were some cold years with his father, it seems, but he apparently was always close to his mother. The only questionable thing he ever did was the Risky Business parody on Saturday Night Live, and even that was more teasing his parents than hurting them.

Patti, on the other hand, seemed to relish publicly embarrassing her parents.

4. Good article
I've seen him host dog shows on Animal Planet. It's interesting that he was an artistic person. It seems to me that artistic people tend to be more passionate and therefore, more liberal.

3. be sure you're not googling "ron reagan JR." ...
... because he's not a Jr. His name is Ronald Prescott Reagan -- different middle name from his daddy.

He's done a lot of TV here and there -- and he's just a smart, personable, confident guy -- so that's why he's so good at public speaking.

5. He's amazingly good on TV talk shows.
He seems like he was just born for that sort of thing. Real smooth and easy going. Fox oughta can that worthless house liberal Colmes and hire RR.

7. His dad was a radio announcer and actor.
It runs in the family. His dad acted as President for two terms and portrayed war heros in movies.

8. He had his own talk show a number of years ago.
It didn't last long, though.

He's very relaxed in front of a camera.

12. I remember that show
It was really good. I remember being surprised at how natural and articulate he was, and how he was not afraid to show a liberal/progressive side. (This was when Rush Limbaugh and Morton Downey Jr. reigned supreme.) I only think Ron's show lasted a few episodes, but I probably saw every one of them.

11. He was GREAT last week on the limited run "After Hours" show on MSNBC!
The chemistry with Scarborough was quite good and they had actual nonshouting, but spirited exchanges with their guests, one of whom was Pat Buchanan.

And drop Scarborough's show, Scarborough Country, by the way. It is awful and has ratings to match (have never been able to watch more than a minute or two of it).

15. I agree with you on the "After Hours Show".
I found it by accident because I never watch Scarborough. I deliberately watch the After Hours show every night, and was disappointed when I found out it wasn't a permanent thing.
I guess I better send an email to MSNBC asking them what happened to it. Maybe they'll reconsider.
