Malloy is telling Kerry to keep things simple, and he is right
the nonesense that Kerry has been saying about he would still give the president the authority for the Iraq resolution is confusing to the normal slob in this country. It gets twisted by the media and talking heads, that "Kerry would still vote the same way on Iraq even though no WMD were found".

What is then reported is that Kerry position is the same as bush, even though there is a distinction, only the political hardcores care about that distinction...

This is the second time he has screwed up. The first time was when he said he might appoint anti-abortion supreme court judges, even though that isn't exactly what he said, that is what is in the mind of the simple person...

1. Kerry was wrong to say before he'd have a litmus test for judges.
Clinton and Carter had no litmus test regarding abortion.

2. Randi Rhodes was saying pretty much the same thing earlier.
That even though the converted (like us here) can absorb the nuances, the average person — who are perhaps not as politically interested — needs the whole thing digested down into sound bytes...

3. It took me a while--and it shouldn't have--
but here's the contact page on Kerry site:

http://www.johnkerry.com/contact/contact.php

and here's the blog:

If enough of us write in with our sentimates, somoneone in the Kerry camp might be smart enough to notice. On the other hand, he has pulled ahead beyond the margin of error in most polls!
