I met Randi Rhodes last night!

Really nice lady. I gave her my brother's CD that's been banned from Clear Channel stations because of it's anti-corporate lyrics and I told her I think her show is great (which it is). She thanked me, took the CD and gave me a kiss (on the cheek).
In case you're wondering, I was at Rocky Sullivan's last night. Janeane Garofalo was also there and did a funny set (she's currently a brunette), the rest of Barry's regulars were there, the place was packed and everyone had a great time.

8. Go early

The first time I went I got there at 7 and got a seat pretty easily. This time, I got there at 6:40 and I barely found a seat (for an 8pm show).
Barry said they're providing color commentary with a big screen during the convention, so I'll probably go at least once for that.

9. Major crowd!

Rocky Sullivan's is about the size of a shoebox. When Randi and Janeane got there, they could barely squeeze to the back. They both got a tremendous cheer. AAR's backer was also there and got a cheer.

I'm so hating your great luck. If I could afford it, I would fly to NY every Tuesday to be at RS.

I hope we get to hear the songs. Randi does play stuff, and puts stuff on her web site on occassion.

and said that if she can't find a use for it, she's welcome to pass it to the other hosts. Tim was there and said I'm supposed to give that stuff to him. I told him he's welcome to get it from her and work with it. He's really sweet, too.

Until three months ago, I lived three blocks from Rocky Sullivans and was a once weekly regular there. (Trivia night on Thursday!) But, now I am in Brooklyn, and I had no idea that they would be there! It's one of my favorite bars in NYC! Cool deal!
